Primary Years - Grades 1 & 2

The Campus School first and second graders begin the critical process of integrating subject matter. Life is not compartmentalized…neither is our curriculum. As maturity develops, curious youngsters begin to realize that subjects overlap, ideas build, and understanding grows. Our methodology is creative and consistent with sound pedagogy and based on educational research. A field trip here, a guest speaker there… The primary years are an important time to expose youngsters to people, places, and things that complement the core curriculum and enrich their learning experience. Through individual projects and group activities, teachers fine-tune the curriculum to meet the needs of each child. Careful assessment of each child’s academic, emotional, and social progress continues throughout the school year. Findings and recommendations are shared with parents on a regular basis.
