We had our PTA meeting Thursday evening and I am so pleased with the activities that they are planning! Please consider joining this school community organization, if you haven't done so already. It is so exciting to see the emerging student programs and the support provided to our teachers. The goal is to come together to enrich our school life in ways that directly benefit our children.
Our Open House event is taking place on Wednesday, November 9. Mrs. Slain has put together a well-organized day for current and perspective parents. I hope you will consider dropping by for a visit so you can see the school through the lens of a visitor.
Each January, we welcome early childhood practicum students from Duksung Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea. This is a collaborative experience that we share with Falk, CMU’s Children’s School, and Pitt’s UCDC (University Child Development Center). This year we will have two students working in Trinity with two of our classes. We look to you, our parents of our Trinity children, to act as as a host family for the two visiting students. They stay with us for two weeks and seek to learn about teaching in American schools and family life in a home that is different from their own. The students are third year students and will speak some English. Please consider this opportunity and contact me for a more detailed conversation.
