  The Early Learning Center

Our Mission and Philosophy

We provide children a balance of social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Our philosophy maintains that children need a safe, comfortable, enriching environment in order to develop to their maximum potential.

The Early Learning Center strives to promote consistency in care during a child’s time with us. Our "continuity of care" philosophy means that our teachers and our children transition from one classroom to the next together, as opposed to children individually transitioning to a new group when they reach a specific milestone. This transition occurs once per year at the end of August. Therefore, children spend one year in each age level classroom if they begin with us in infancy, but keep the same teachers their entire time in our Center.

The Early Learning Center provides a secure, nurturing, early educational environment that uses developmentally appropriate activities, experiences and materials to engage children in active, meaningful learning.

The curriculum used in each developmental grouping reflects our philosophy of developmental, play-based learning.
