The after-school French club, Le Cercle Français , provides primary students with an additional hour of French each week. This reinforces their classroom experience and improves retention while giving the student an opportunity to practice the language outside the classroom in a fun-filled atmosphere. As a result, participants tend to go back to the classroom wanting to share what they have acquired, injecting new enthusiasm into the regular French class. Learning French games, rhymes, and songs; eating snacks with French politesse; giving puppet shows; and speaking en français on make-believe telephones are all part of this after-school adventure.
