Performing Arts

The Campus school's strong academic curriculum and rich resources enables the school to excel in the Performing Arts. Beginning in the Montessori Preschool and the Prekindergarten, opportunities are provided for the children to perform in music, creative movement, and drama. Piano, voice, string, and band instruction is available. Formal instruction in musical instruments begins with recorders in third grade. Grades one and three host plays which parents and friends are invited to watch. At the annual Author's Tea students read their creative works for parents and the school community. Creative writing, both prose and poetry, is encouraged throughout the entire school. Student work is published within the school and nationally. Journal writing starts in kindergarten and continues through grade eight. In addition the upper school musical is performed in the Carlow University 's state-of-the-art theater. Private lessons also available.
